I wish people would start treating being flamboyantly Darkly-inclined and other non-traditional expressions as the valid identities that they are, like being LGBTQ. Self-expression through appearance is fundamental to the point of being sacred to one's identity. I don't think people should be discriminated against anymore just for the way they present.

the shit is fucking corny and will always be. i have unresolved trauma, let me dress in a way that tells people this very personal part of myself. also let me were some sort of lgbtq flag to let people know what my sexual preference is - all of that is private and the world doesnt need to know that - thats why it wont ever be acceptable for a general audience - now your niche place where people of the same kind congregate and be corny together - thats fine - but to think the public at large is going to like such a personal public display - youre kidding yourself
